Carolyn at Rainbow Bridge

Carolyn Tribute

With heavy hearts, we said good-bye to our Carolyn on Monday, August 11, 2014. Carolyn was a sweet shepherd mix girl, about 2 years old, who came from a rural shelter where she had been taken in as a stray.  Carolyn, or “Linnie” as she came to be known, was a little shy and as sweet a dog as you could hope to meet.  Once comfortable in her surroundings, Linnie loved to play, play, play, and came to be known as one of RAGS’ “party girls.”

Shortly after Carolyn’s arrival in our rescue, she began experiencing seizures.  The veterinarian confirmed that Linnie had epilepsy and would need to receive medication from that point on.  The medication did prove helpful over the next few months, with only an occasional minor episode.  Then, a few days ago, Carolyn experienced an episode of “cluster seizures” that she was not able to recover from and we had to let her go.  We at RAGS will always remember this very special girl.
